Engineering Design Graphics Instructor #1018 (REVISED PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY) This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field OR an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus a minimum of five (5) years current industry related experience. Working knowledge of CATIA software preferred. A background of industry experience using AutoCAD software is strongly preferred.  Knowledge of other parametric modeling programs such as SolidWorks or Inventor is a plus.  Preference will be given to applicants with at least two years of teaching experience in post-secondary education area.  Responsibilities include teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, and advising students. Information Systems InstructorsTo qualify for these positions, you must have at least a master’s degree in computer science/information technology or a closely related field OR a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in computer science/information technology. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Instructors –To qualify for these positions you must have at least an associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Technology or a related field PLUS five (5) years of industry related field experience. Instructors are needed for the following courses: piping systems and pumps, drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical sketching and blueprint reading. Courses are generally scheduled during the day for apprenticeship programs. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. These positions are open until filled.

Marketing Instructors These positions require an M.B.A. with 18 graduate hours in marketing.  Prior teaching experience and excellent customer service skills are required. Mathematics Instructors – To qualify for these positions, you must have at least a master’s degree in mathematics OR a master’s degree with 18 semester credit hours in mathematics at the graduate level. Qualified candidates may be assigned to teach mathematics courses ranging from beginning algebra through calculus III and differential equations, including probability and statistics, discrete mathematics, and contemporary mathematics. Network Systems Management Instructors – To qualify for these positions you must have a bachelor’s degree in computer networking, information technology, business, or a related field AND experience in the networking/information technology field.  A master’s degree is preferred.  Preference will be given to applications with CompTIA, Cisco, and/or Microsoft certification.  Must be familiar with computer hardware and desktop operating systems, Cisco routing and switching, and network operating systems.  Day and evening courses are available.  Please submit a copy of your transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) with your application. Nursing Instructors (ADN) – Part-time instructors needed to provide clinical instruction/supervision for 8 - 9 students on an adult medical surgical acute care unit.  Clinical rotations are available for 7 or 14 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays.  A BSN PLUS enrollment in and 50% completion of a masters degree nursing program or an MSN is required.  Candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in medical surgical nursing as an RN and a current SC RN license.  Clinical teaching experience in an ADN or BSN program preferred.  Excellent customer service skills are a plus.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  These positions are open until filled.

Philosophy Instructors – To qualify for these positions, you must have at least a master’s degree in philosophy or a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in philosophy.  Excellent customer service skills are required. Psychology Instructors These positions require a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline of psychology.  The graduate courses must have the PSY department abbreviation.  Applicants will be asked to teach five classes per semester to include general psychology, human growth and development, and abnormal psychology. Welding Instructor –To qualify for this position, you must have at least a minimum of five (5) years current welding experience and must pass certification tests in each welding process taught. Teaching/training experience and an associate degree in a related area is preferred. Instructors are needed to teach entry-level through advanced classes in shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux cored arc, and oxyacetylene/plasma arc/carbon arc cutting processes as well as related courses in blueprint reading, metallurgy, welding safety, and weld inspection, testing, and codes.
