Print Resources

Books  - Various titles on “Management” subjects are available. Specific Subject headings and keywords will narrow the search for titles to the particular area of interest.  (i.e. business plans, business planning, small business management )

Periodicals – The library subscribes to a number of periodicals (journals, magazines) that cover various business topics.  See the Periodical Holdings Manual (gold manual) located in the reference area.

Online Sources

The following online databases are available through the Trident Technical College Learning Resources Center and will be most helpful in MGT 101. Additional databases are found on the LRC web page (http://www.tridenttech.edu/library.htm).  Databases can be accessed on and off campus.  Access off-campus requires a current Library ID number (13 digit bar code number found on your Trident ID card).  

Business and Company Resource Center - Comprehensive periodical and reference resource for business, management and investment topics, with Newsletters ASAP and Predicast's PROMT databases. Articles from academic and general business, industry & management periodicals, newsletters, newspapers and newswires (4000+ indexed titles; 2900+ full-text). Investment and broker research reports, Company & association directory listings from a number of sources, additional content from reference sources covering industries, company histories, associations, brands, market share, and more.

Net-Library - E-Books (electronic books)  contains thousands of FULL TEXT electronic versions of published non-fiction books.

More Resources

The Research link from the library’s web page provides resources such as an MLA and APA citation guide, web site evaluation guide, and statistical information.  You will also find specific course resource pages and subject guides.

A good source for writing help is The Owl at Purdue, Purdue University’s Writing Center.  This site walks you through the complete writing process.
