The following resources will help you with various assignments covered in HIS 102.   

All resources are accessible from computers anywhere on TTC campuses. To access resources while off campus you will need a valid TTC student ID. The databases are available by clicking the Online Databases link from the library's Research page. Online Databases

Biography Resource Center - Contains biographies on over 1000 individuals from various walks of life.  Biographical essays are taken from reputable reference sources.  Also includes full text magazine articles and selected websites on individuals. Examples of Historic figures included in this database are Ataturk, “Mustafa” Kemal, Adenauer, Konrad and Darwin, Charles, etc.  Biographical entries also include bibliographies and reference lists of additional Information

NetLibrary - Numerous electronic books are available on all topics covered in HIS 202 through TTC’s Online library (netLibrary)Using keyword search, enter the topic or subject you are studying.  The resulting book titles are all fully available online.  Examples of the titles found in NetLibrary include: 

Charles Darwin and the Voyage of the Beagle by Charles Darwin.  Champaign, Ill.: Project Gutenberg. (This book is not in Trident's ebook collection. Go directly to NetLibrary.)
Adenauer: The Father of the New Germany by Charles Williams
.  New York: John Wiley & Sons, Inc.,      2001.

Official government site providing information on the processes of becoming a United States Citizen.  Includes various downloadable guides including one called  A Guide to Naturalization: A comprehensive booklet which provides information on the benefits and responsibilities of citizenship, an overview of the naturalization process and eligibility requirements. USCIS now offers this publication in several languages. (Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or later to read this document.)

A good source for writing help is The Owl at Purdue, Purdue University’s Writing Center.  This site walks you through the complete writing process.
