Reference Books
TTC's Library/ Learning Resources Center offers many useful sources for researching costumes and fashion trends throughout the ages, from ancient times to the present day. Reference books are items that cannot be checked out of the library. These books are for library use only, which allows access to more users since they will be here when needed. Below is a list of some of the reference books available on the subject of costume and fashion history. The books listed below are in the reference section (first floor) on Main Campus. Main Campus (Stacks)
Several of the books on the history of costume and fashion are located in the stacks here at Main Campus. These are books that can be checked out with a TTC ID (this can obtained in the 410 building). Students can check out up to ten books at one time. Netlibrary books are electronic books ("e-books") that can be viewed through TTC's library webpage. Users can access them anywhere they have access to the Internet (here on TTC Campuses, home, or work) once a user's account has been created. Netlibrary can be found under Online Databases (on the black menu bar from the library home page) and instructions are then provided for a creating an account to check out one of these e-books. For more assistance, ask a reference librarian or call the reference desk at 574-6096 during regular hours of operation.
