The following resources are a small sample of what is available in TTC’s Library (LRC) to support your work in Nursing courses.

Journal Articles

The Library subscribes to a number of medical-related journals in hardcopy/print format.  These journals are for library use only, but each library has at least one photocopy machine available. Some of these titles include:

            # The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing

            # Journal of Pediatric Nursing

            # Nursing Ethics: An International Journal for Health Care Professionals

            # Pain Management Nursing

The Library also provides access to numerous journals through online databases. To access the databases while on campus click the online databases link from the library’s webpage   (Note:  A TTC ID card is needed for off campus access).  For help in using the databases, see the tutorials and guides section of the library webpage found under the Research link.

For assistance with determining whether a journal is appropriate for use in your academic/professional research, you can read the following tutorial and take the self-grading quiz to measure your knowledge of the difference between peer-reviewed/scholarly journals and other kinds of periodicals.

Books

You will find many books on nursing-related subjects in TTC’s Library.  Those listed below are just a small sample of what is available to you.

The Library also has over 60,000 books available through NetLibrary. This resource holds e-books (electronic books) which are available to you 24/7. For access to NetLibrary while off campus click here.
