Trident Technical College’s Partnership Criteria
for the SCFC 2007 SC Film Production Fund

Budget Considerations:

• TTC will require an administration fee of 5% of the total fund award.
• TTC will require the filmmaker to budget 5% of the total fund award for faculty release time to coordinate the project.
• TTC will require adequate Liability Insurance.
• The SC Film Commission Film Production Fund Review Panel may require the grantee to revise the budget in order to pay a film professional(s) to rework the script, mentor the project, and/or provide oversight in other specific areas that they deem deficient.

Equipment Rental

• TTC will require adequate Loss/Damage Insurance Coverage on all TTC equipment used by production.  (Adequate coverage is defined as the full replacement cost of all the equipment assigned to the project).
• TTC will require an escrowed deposit of two times the deductible as per the insurance policy. This account will be maintained at this level throughout the length of the production.

Funding

Please be advised that the entire award amount is not given to the funding recipient or the Consortium member upon grand award. The South Carolina Department of Commerce will award funds upon receipt of billing and proof of payment (cancelled check or paid invoice). Expenses must be incurred and then billed for providing proof of payment. The funding recipient must submit a request for payment with invoices attached before they will be reimbursed.

Other Considerations

• The final production proposal should demonstrate reasonable consideration for the following:
• TTC’s ability to supply the specific type and amount of equipment specified in the production for the length of time the project will be in production.
• TTC’s ability to supply the number of students requested in the proposal and the length of time the students will be absent from class is realistic and practical.
• The shooting location(s) indicated in the proposal are within reasonable distance from TTC’s main campus.
• The over all production time-table aligns in a manageable way with TTC’s academic calendar.
