Donations of Tangible Property to Trident Technical College
Donations of equipment and resources that can be used for classroom and training purposes should be made directly to Trident Technical College. While the College values all offers of donated equipment, the College may decline items that are not suitable or that require unacceptable amounts of maintenance or technical support.
Before the College makes a commitment to accept or reject offers of donated equipment the TTC faculty or staff member who has received the offer must forward the offer to his/her dean or department head. The dean or department head will review the offer to determine if the equipment can be used for teaching and training purposes and can be cost-effectively maintained by the College.
EXCEPTION: Because the College is prohibited from selling donated personal or real property, the TTC Foundation may agree to take title of the property, sell it, and earmark the resulting proceeds for the appropriate department or program. The Foundation's Executive Director must review and approve the proposed transaction before any property is accepted.
Donation offers should be directed to the appropriate College program or department. Donors should review the TTC Policy and Procedures 9-3-1 Donations of Tangible Property to Trident Technical College. Donors may contact the Foundation if they are unsure of the appropriate College program or department.
