The Hospitality Education Fund

Established in 2005 by Franz X. Meier to help promising students transition to advanced training and work experiences through the Culinary Institute of Charleston at TTC.

Student Eligibility:  New, returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Be a current high school student in the tri-county area with a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0 or higher or a returning student enrolled in an Associate Degree program in the Division of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts at TTC. Must enroll in and maintain at least six semester credit hours in the hospitality or culinary curriculum with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Award Amount/Use: Up to $1,000 for Fall and Spring terms for tuition and books for up to four years if student continues to qualify.

Essay Requirement:  Applicants are required to provide a brief essay describing their professional aspirations and record of communiy service.  Instructions for submitting the essay will be provided during the application process.
