Dr. Charles E. Palmer, founder and president of Palmer College, was instrumental in the merger of Palmer and Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Technical Education Center to form Trident Technical College. His lifelong commitment to education is reflected in this legacy to students who participate in the Communities in Schools program.
Student Eligibility: New students are eligible to apply.
To qualify: Must be a graduating senior (in the year of the scholarship application) of Septima P. Clark Corporate Academy. Must apply for admission at TTC, declare a major in any associate degree or diploma program. Must enroll in and maintain at least six semester credit hours with a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA to remain eligible. Must have at least one conference with the current Clark Academy counselor no later than one month prior to the end of his/her first semester at TTC.
Award amount/use: Up to $500 for Fall and up to $500 for Spring semester for tuition and books. Maximum total award is $1,000 if student continues to qualify.
