Assists students in need of financial support to acquire skills at TTC to become independent, productive members of the region's work force.

Student eligibility:  New, returning or continuing students are eligible to apply.

To qualify: Enroll in and maintain at least 12 semester credit hours and a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA in a TTC associate degree or certificate program. Preference will be given to current year graduating seniors of West Ashley or Johns Island high schools and residents of 29414 or 29407 zip code areas in need of financial assistance.

Award amount/use: A one-time award of up to $250 for tuition, books and equipment.

Essay Requirement:  Applicant must submit an essay explaining why in this stage of your life you feel that now is the time to further your education.  Instructions for submitting the essay will be provided during the application process.
