Art history of the culture of Africa was examined by presentations by Carol Thompson, Fred and Rita Richman Foundation curator of African Art for the High Museum of Art in Atlanta and Dr. Emily Hanna, Curator of Arts of Africa and the Americas at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

Take a tour of Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture located in downtown Charleston, SC on the campus of the College of Charleston.
