FAQs

Q.  Who can use the services of The Learning Center?

A.  The Learning Center's services are offered free of charge to TTC students to assist them in the courses in which they are currently enrolled at TTC.

Q.  Can I walk in and see a tutor, or do I need to make an appointment?

A.  Although students can sometimes walk in and get the help they need, it is best to plan ahead and schedule an appointment several days in advance. To schedule an appointment, call 574-6409, or come to The Learning Center in 920/211. Students who like the informal atmosphere of The Math and Science Center can drop in for homework assistance at any time a facilitator is on duty.

Q.  Can LA help me learn to use my calculator?

A.  Quick questions on the use of the TI-83 plus and the TI-84 can be answered in the Math and Science Center within The Learning Center.  For more detailed assistance, students should schedule an appointment by calling 574-6409.   Handouts and/or video tapes on the use of the TI-36x, TI-34II, TI82, TI 83 plus, TI 85, and TI 86 are also available.
