Academic Online Course Login (WebCT) Instructions

Things to remember about logging-in to WebCT.
  • You can access your online course the day classes begin.
  • Passwords change every semester; WebCT IDs do not.
  • The login is case sensitive. Please Turn the Caps Lock Key on when you log in.
  • You may need to disable pop-up blockers to use WebCT. Your browser may allow you to define WebCT as a trusted site allowing pop-ups.

Follow these steps for the initial login to your online course(s):

  1. Decide before logging on what your new password will be (remember, it is Case Sensitive!).
  2. Go to http://ttconline.tridenttech.edu/
  3. Click Log in to myWebCT.
  4. Type your WebCT ID in the text box. What is my WebCT ID?
  5. Type your initial password in the text box. What is my initial password?
  6. Click the Log in button.  The following screen should display (the blue text has been added for demonstration purposes).
  1. Using the blue text as a guideline, type the new information into the text boxes.
  2. Click the Update password link.
  3. You will see a confirming message if you have successfully changed the password. 
  4. Click the Continue button.  The log in screen re-appears.
  5. Your username should be displayed in the WebCT ID text box.  Enter the new password that you've just chosen.  The myWebCT page should display with a list of your WebCT courses.
  6. Click the title to access a class.





Your WebCT ID
Your WebCT ID is ALL UPPERCASE with no spaces and is composed of:
The first 6 characters of your last name +
Your first initial +
The last 4 digits of your social security number.
Examples of WebCT IDs:

  • The last four digits of Sarah Washington's Social Security number are 9876, so her ID is made up of WASHIN + S + 9876 = WASHINS9876
  • The last four digits of John Pye's Social Security number are 1234,so his ID is made up of PYE + J + 1234 = PYEJ1234

Your Initial Password
Your Initial Password is ALL UPPERCASE with no spaces and is composed of the last 4 digits of your social security number AND FA2008.
Examples of initial passwords:

  • The last four digits of Sarah Washington's Social Security number are 9876,
    so her initial password is 9876FA2008
  • The last four digits of John Pye's Social Security number are 1234,
    so his password is 1234FA2008
