Assisting Successful Students in Selected Technologies

Trident Technical College has a program that can help you achieve your goals!

Project ASSIST is a federally funded program funded by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technology Education Improvement Act of 2006 and is designed to help eligble students (please see Eligibility Requirements ) stay in school and complete a technology-based program of study.

The goal of Project ASSIST is to increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible Trident Technical College students who are preparing for careers in technology based fields. Project ASSIST also provides support services to help students to overcome some of the problems of attending college and handling job and family responsibilities at the same time.

Project ASSIST provides comprehensive services on all three campuses to eligible students that include career, personal, and academic counseling. Applicants must participate in screening and orientation sessions. Students who are accepted must see a counselor once a month, attend workshops and successfully continue towards their academic goal.
