Foreign Language Placement Exam
This placement exam allows students to place into the appropriate class level for their skills in the foreign language. The test consist of both writing and listening sections. It is multiple-choice and approximately one hour in length. To place into the 201 and 202 levels, additional assessment is required by the Language Department. There is no fee for the placement exam. No college credit is awarded for placement.
Foreign Language Credit-by-Exam
This exam enables students to challenge either 101, 102, 201, or 202 levels of a foreign language. The test consist of both writing and listening sections. It is multiple-choice and approximately one hour in length. To receive credit for the 201 and 202 levels, additional assessment is required by the Language Department.
To Take A Credit-by-Exam:
- Obtain a Credit By Exam Form from the Registrar's Office or Testing Services
- Have the form signed by your Instructor or Advisor and Dean or Department Head
- Take the form to the Business Office for processing and pay the $45 testing fee
- Bring the processed form and your Business Office receipt of payment to Testing Services when testing
