CLEP Testing
TTC grants credit for selected College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) examinations with satisfactory scores.
DANTES DSST
TTC grants credit for selected Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES DSST's) examinations with satisfactory scores.
Excelsior College
TTC grants credit for selected examinations with satisfactory scores.
PONSI TTC grants credit for selected PONSI examinations with satisfactory scores. Please contact the Registrar's Office at (843) 574-6549 for information concerning PONSI transfer credits. Additional information can be found online at http://www.nationalponsi.org/
TTC Limitations On Advanced Standing Credit:
- TTC grants up to 16 semester credit hours of Excelsior College, CLEP, DANTES DSST's, or PONSI credit. Credits can be no more than one-fourth of total hours required to complete curriculum.
- Students must verify that official test score reports are on file in the Admissions and Records office prior to the start of the semester during which the requested credit may be granted.
- CLEP and DANTES DSST's allow students to retest six months after the original test date.
- TTC will not grant credit for a course previously attempted--including withdrawals.
- Awarded Advanced Standing credits will not affect a student's grade point average.
- TTC does not guarantee that Advanced Standing credit awarded for required TTC courses will transfer to other institutions.
