• Teaching philosophy:   No recognized philosophy, just a few truisms:  (1) It’s never too late to learn (2) Education is primarily about the journey, not the destination (3) Writing is therapeutic (4) Writing is not fun, but to have written something well is rewarding (5) I always learn things from my students
