Members of Trident Technical College's Department of English & Journalism share a common vision: to earn a reputation as a superior place to learn, to teach, and to learn how to teach the art of composition and the appreciation of literature.
Our common mission is four-fold: to help our students learn to write effectively, read perceptively, and think critically; to serve as a responsive and productive resource for our colleagues within the College; to provide the means for our faculty members and teaching interns to develop themselves as professionals committed to lifelong learning and teaching excellence; and to actively support the College’s open access mission and the ideals associated with it.
