Make this a summer to remember with Kids’ College summer camps at Trident Technical College. These cool camps for children ages 6-16 help develop and expand their interests, stimulate creativity and provide unique learning opportunities on a college campus. Camps are held on TTC’s Main Campus in North Charleston.
Camp topics for ages 6-8 include Dynamic Dinos, Junior Vehicles Using LEGOs, MatheMagicians and Step into Reading. For ages 7-11, TTC offers Crazy Chemistry; Let Go of My LEGOs; Mad Science Mysteries; NASA: Journey into Outer Space; Rockin’ Robots and Aerodynamics; Sizzling Summer Science; Spanish is Fun; Vehicles Using LEGOs; and WOW! Is this Science.
Children ages 9-11 can enjoy Aviation Adventures; Biology Brainiacs; Brain Power; Hip Hop Homework; Junior Engineers; Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees; Office Pizazz; PC Troubleshooting and Repair; The Young Writer’s Club; and Web Design and Flash Animation. Camp topics for ages 10-12 include Adventures in Comic Creations, CSI Trident and Fun with Digital Photography. For ages 10-12, TTC offers Computer Forensics; Creative Writing; Imaginative Photography; Junior Engineers; NXT Robots; PC Troubleshooting and Repair for Teens; PSAT/SAT Prep Course; Smart Money Now; and Web Design and Flash Animation.
The Youth Summer Program for ages 12-15 consists of five modules that focus on interpersonal skills. Topics include communicating effectively, being a team player, leadership, presentation and networking.
Young foodies can learn their way around the kitchen with culinary camps. Topics include Cakes and Cake Decorating; Candy and Chocolate Making; Cooking Around the World; Cooking Italian; Culinary Boot Camp; Pastry Boot Camp; Picnics and Pool Parties; and South of the Border. Each camp is offered for ages 8-11 and 12-16.
Two online camps are available for children ages 10 and older, Elementary Engineering Using LEGOs and Video Game Design.
