Alzheimer’s Caregiver Skills, a course for the general public and health care providers, will be held 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Continuing Education Center (Bldg. 910) on Trident Technical College’s Main Campus, 2001 Mabeline Road, North Charleston. The cost is $49.

Fran Emerson, regional program coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association - Palmetto Chapter, covers three relevant areas: understanding the illness, improving communication and understanding behavior. All participants receive a certificate of completion.
