Trident Technical College’s early care and education associate degree has earned national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), one of 34 colleges nationwide having earned this accreditation to date. The association’s accreditation system recognizes degree programs that meet the highest standards for teacher preparation.
According to the NAEYC, professional early education teachers are among the fastest-growing occupations in the United States. Increasingly, public and private early care and education programs are requiring their teachers to have at least an associate degree.
In addition to the associate degree in early care and education, Trident Technical College’s Division of Community, Family and Child Studies offers a diploma in early childhood development and certificates in child care management, early childhood development, early childhood special education, infant and toddler development, and school-age and youth development.
