Aircraft manufacturing technicians are typically employed by companies that produce aircraft for the civilian and military market. Local companies would include Vought Aircraft Industries and Global Aeronautica, manufacturers of fuselage sections for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner here in North Charleston, South Carolina. Other manufacturers would include Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin, and Hawker Beech, and Cessna.
